The
career I chose to focus on for this assignment is Athletic Trainer. The company
I found that offers employment in my field of interest is Select Medical in Los
Angeles, California. I selected this company because it is looking for Athletic
Trainers in and around Los Angeles, which is around where I reside. Select
Medical has been in service since 1996 and offers long-term acute care,
inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation, Select Medical is
seeking an Athletic Trainer to join their Injury Prevention Team. Job duties
include basic first aid to emergency care, leading/instructing strength and
conditioning sessions, patient education on health and wellness, public
speaking, and biomechanical observation and feedback. Applicants must have a
Bachelors of Science degree, one year of clinical experience, be CPR certified,
and certified by the National Athletic Trainer's Association.
